A Year of Impact: 2024 Achievements of GreenLand Recycling

As 2024 draws to a close, we at Greenland Recycling Solutions reflect on a year filled with milestones, innovations, and impactful environmental contributions. Our mission to transform waste into valuable resources has driven us to new heights, and the numbers speak for themselves. Here’s how we’ve made a difference this year—and how we plan to go even further in 2025.

This year, Greenland Recycling Solutions LLC (GLRS) was honoured with the prestigious Waste Management Excellence of the Year – UAE award at the Asian Waste Management Awards 2024. This recognition celebrates our innovative contributions to environmental sustainability, particularly through our pioneering approach to food waste management. Such accolades reflect our commitment to driving impactful change in the waste management industry.

In 2024, we proudly secured trademark registration for Greenland Recycling Solutions. This milestone reinforces our brand’s identity, credibility, and commitment to delivering top-notch recycling services. Being trademarked is not just a mark of distinction but also a testament to the trust we have built in the industry.

In 2024, we processed an incredible range of materials across industries, significantly reducing environmental harm. Here’s a snapshot of our contributions:

  • Food Waste: 2810.443 tons transformed into nutrient-rich compost.
  • E-Waste: 11.26 tons responsibly recycled to recover valuable materials.
  • Plastics: 41.998 tons repurposed to reduce landfill strain.
  • Tobacco Waste: 559.306 tons processed to protect soil and water.
  • Textiles: 20.42 tons given a new lease of life.
  • Glass: 10.658 tons recycled into reusable products.
  • Batteries: 0.09 tons safely processed to prevent hazardous contamination.
  • Paper: 86.29 tons recycled to save trees and reduce emissions.

Each item processed helps reduce landfill waste, conserve natural resources, and promote a circular economy.

This year, we doubled the capacity of our organic waste composting machine from 1.5 tons to 3 tons, enabling more efficient processing. Additionally, we expanded our facility from 8,600 to 25,800 square feet, with plans underway to build a 100,000-square-foot plant by 2025 to accommodate future growth.

Our ongoing vape recycling campaign continues to raise awareness about the importance of responsible disposal. By encouraging businesses to recycle vape products, we’ve kept harmful chemicals out of the environment and contributed to lithium conservation.

At Greenland Recycling, our mission is not just to recycle waste but to inspire change. As we plan for an even bigger 2025, we invite businesses to join hands with us in creating a greener, cleaner world. Recycling is more than a service—it’s a responsibility, a movement, and a promise to future generations.

Here’s to another year of making an impact, together.
